Michroburst - Rugged, ready-to-use SBD transceiver
The MiChroBurst-Q is a satellite transceiver from Wireless Innovation that combines the global coverage of the Iridium satellite network with the low latency of the Iridium 9602 SBD (Short Burst Data) service.
MiChroBurst-Q is a ready-to-use IP-55 rated transceiver that offers developers a swift, risk free means of creating and testing the interoperation of the Iridium 9602 SBD service with external devices, without the requirement to physically embed a modem first.
The embedded module provides:
- Full power conditioning
- Installation on 12V/ 24V dc power supply
- Data connectivity via RS-232 9-Pin D-Type serial port
- AT command set interface
Iridium 9602
The Iridium 9602 SBD service is designed to serve a range of applications that require smaller data messages of less than 300 bytes.
SBD provides a more efficient and economical option than Iridium Circuit Switched Data services and when combined with the Wireless Innovation back office services (MultiBurst) allows data to be delivered via direct IP, e-mail, SMS or FTP.
